In order to overcome small field of arthroscope view, the field of view is expanded by utilizing digital zoom, panorama view technology and fisheye lens (wide angle lens). A Region of interest in the enlarged arthroscopic display is selectable when surgeons want to focus on specific anatomy in detail.
Pose of surgical instruments is tracked by optical position tracker or camera, and then the instruments’ position is used for selecting region of interest on wide-angle arthroscopic image.
